I spent 2 1/2 hours working on the latest snowfall . The lake and road will be excellent for classic skiing today. Skating should be decent, but I do have an issue with overlap berms with this much new snow. It was 6 below zero while grooming so I think it will set up well.

Have never to Pilot Knob. Terrain? Flat? Hilly? Are there easier trails for non-aggressive skiers? Separate snowshoe trails?
ReplyDeletePilot Knob state park is hilly. The road is hilly while the lake would be good for beginner skiers looking for a flat trail. There are many walking trails that are excellent for snowshoeing.
