Last day of Winter

 The skate skiing was great yesterday even though only the south half of the lake was skiable. Today is probably the last day for skiing on groomed trail at the knob.

Last weekend

 Well this has to be it for the season. All I could do was groom a skating path on the south side of the lake. The road is no good. Skating should be good today and tomorrow.

The skating path is just under a half mile long so you'll have to ski it back and forth. Not very long but it will be enough for a last skiing fix of the season. 

No grooming

 I am out of town so will be unable to groom any trails for the weekend.

Groomed the road

 I was surprised to be able to ski the road last night. I groomed the skate deck early this morning for another day skiing. 

Pilot knob

 The road and lake have been groomed for both classic and skate style skiing. It was 6 below zero when I was finishing up and I could feel the snow setting up very well. It should be a good weekend for skiing!

In process

Rolling of the new snow has been done last night and this morning. I plan to groom tonight with hopes of a good weekend of skiing. I scheduled 2 rollings with the forecast of a major snowfall but we ended up only getting 3 to 4 inches. Nonetheless,  it should groom up well.

White concrete

After recieving about a 1/2 inch of rain the trails are as hard as concrete. I could probably work some of it up for some skate skiing but I'd rather not do that to my equipment. And I'll appreciate the break this weekend.  Maybe we'll see more snow late next week.
